A true Arizona experience! Join us on a private trail ride with the team at Cave Creek Outfitters, as we are escorted through the beautiful Arizona desert via horseback! The journey will take us near the Rio Verde river surrounded by the McDowell Mountain and Mazatzal Mountain ranges. Our professional wranglers will educate us about the horse herd and the desert cactus/plant and animal life we encounter along the way during this unforgettable Southwestern Experience.
This adventure is designed for those who may be experienced riders, “vacation riders” and even including all those who have never been atop a horse!
*Important details - Maximum rider weight is 240 lbs. Minimum age to ride is 6 years old. Recommend wearing long pants/jeans, closed toe shoes and hats that are tight fitting. Bring sunscreen and your camera! Water is provided.
Arizona Night Hike – Friday at 9:00 PM
Step into the magic of the desert after dark! Our Night Hike departs shortly after the evening speaker concludes (around 9:00 PM) and returns to the resort by approximately 11:00 PM. Limited to 36 tickets—reserve your spot early!
Experience a favorite Arizona tradition as we escape the daytime heat and explore the desert under the stars. We’ll meet in the resort lobby and assess group hiking levels to tailor the hike accordingly. Transportation, headlamps, and water will be provided.
As we trek through the desert, you’ll learn about Arizona’s fascinating nocturnal wildlife and unique plant life. Bring a blacklight to join in on the scorpion hunt—an unforgettable part of the experience! Comfortable athletic shoes are highly recommended.

Canyon Lake Cruise Adventure

Join us for a memorable Sunday adventure as we head out to the breathtaking Canyon Lake and explore the charm of the Old West! Our journey begins with a scenic cruise aboard the historic Dolly Steamboat, a vessel that's been gliding through these waters since 1925. As we cruise, keep your eyes open for native wildlife, including bighorn sheep and majestic bald eagles soaring overhead.
The Dolly Steamboat features a small snack bar—please note it's cash only, and there are no ATMs nearby. This is the authentic Wild West, after all!
Following the cruise, we’ll continue on to the Goldfield Ghost Town, established in 1893. Step back in time and enjoy optional activities like mine tours, gold panning, a mystery shack, reptile exhibits, and more. Explore unique shops, grab a bite to eat, and soak in the old-time atmosphere.
What to Bring:
Closed-toe shoes (recommended for comfort and safety)
