A true Arizona experience! Join us on a private trail ride with the team at Cave Creek Outfitters, as we are escorted through the beautiful Arizona desert via horseback! The journey will take us near the Rio Verde river surrounded by the McDowell Mountain and Mazatzal Mountain ranges. Our professional wranglers will educate us about the horse herd and the desert cactus/plant and animal life we encounter along the way during this unforgettable Southwestern Experience.
This adventure is designed for those who may be experienced riders, “vacation riders” and even including all those who have never been atop a horse!
*Important details - Maximum rider weight is 240 lbs. Minimum age to ride is 6 years old. Recommend wearing long pants/jeans, closed toe shoes and hats that are tight fitting. Bring sunscreen and your camera! Water is provided.
Night Hike - Friday night Depart right after evening speaker meeting approximately 9pm (50 Tix available) Depart right after evening speaker meeting approximately 9pm. Meet at resort lobby and arrive back approximately 11pm.
Let us take you on an Arizona Night Hike! This is a well known activity for us desert dwellers, as we find ways to enjoy the outdoors and escape the heat from our summers. We will evaluate the levels of hikers at the meet up (resort lobby) and take you on an appropriate hike for our group. We will provide transportation, headlamps and water. Learn about the Arizona plant and animal nightlife as we adventure on this hour or so long hike trip. Don’t forget to bring your blacklight for the scorpion hunt! Comfortable athletic shoes recommended.

Canyon Lake Cruise Depart from resort at 8:30am. Late Afternoon back at resort. Limited to 100 Tix Come spend your Sunday morning with us as we go out to the lake and visit a real life ghost town! Canyon Lake to be specific, where we will board the famous Dolly Steamboat and be taken on a scenic nature cruise around the lake where we will be on the lookout for our native big horned sheep and majestic bald eagles. The steamboat has been cruising this lake since 1925.They do have a snack bar on board but please note it’s CASH ONLY and there is no ATM nearby. This is the real wild west out here!
After the nature cruise we will board our transportation and head off for a stop at the Goldfield Ghost Town which was first established in 1893. This wild west experience has many options for its guests to partake in such as mine tours, a mystery shack, gold panning and even a superstition wilderness reptile exhibit, just to name a few. They have a few different shops and food options as well.
We recommend wearing or bringing closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Please bring cash for boat snacks and money for elective activities/food at the ghost town. Water will be provided.
